Medication-Assisted Treatment is treatment for addiction, or alternative to high doses of opioids, that includes the use of medication along with counseling and other support. MAT medication can reduce problems of withdrawals, cravings and helps regain a normal state of mind. These changes can give you the chance to focus on healthy lifestyle changes that lead back to healthy living.

Fred W. Fulton, NCC, LPC, is a Licensed Counselor providing individual and group therapy at DCHC'S Behavioral Health Program. Fred Fulton has over 12 years of experiences with social services, mental health, and substance use programs in our region. He holds specialty certificates in Moral Reconation Therapy, as well as Domestic Abuse Counseling. Fred Fulton utilizes this model as well as cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Enhancement Therapy.

The DCHC MAT Program is led by Dr. Cesar Gonzales, who is a Board Certified Physician in both Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Gonzales is committed to providing caring and effective treatment of individuals and their families and to reducing drug use and drug overdoses in our community. he is passionate about helping his patients recover and go on the live healthy and productive lives.
